If You’re Looking For A Sign to Take A Leap of Faith – This Is It

It happens to the best of us. You go about your daily life and all of the sudden, it hits you. You’re not happy, and you haven’t been happy for a while. The vibrant colors of your surroundings have faded into a bleak and murky backdrop, and you wonder how this possibly could have happened. You feel passionless, apathetic, and maybe even a little bored, and you know deep down that you aren’t reaching your fullest potential. If you feel like you’re out of touch with your surroundings; whether it be in your living environment, with a partner, or at a job, then you’ve probably contemplated making a change.

So why don’t you just do it?

I know, it sounds easier than it actually is, right? I know this because I found myself in these exact circumstances in my own life. I was attending college at a school where I felt completely unlike myself. Each day, I was suffocated with such monotony that I could barely breathe, and I knew that I could be so much more productive than I was at the time. It made me upset to see the passion in my eyes fade with each day that passed, and I wanted so badly to recapture the creative spirit that I once had inside of myself. At that point, I too was faced with the decision of the hour. Would I choose to stay in a safe and comfortable environment, even though I knew I deserved more, or would I take a leap of faith and embark on a new journey that could potentially be better than what I already had?

I chose the later, and so can you. Here’s why:

You Deserve to Be Happy

Yes, you read that correctly! In a world that glorifies the neglect of self-care, it may seem wrong to even consider your own emotions. But the truth is, only you know yourself. Sure, your friends and family know you fairly well, but only YOU are able to tune into your personal intuition. If you genuinely feel like you are uninspired and belong in another environment, no matter how crazy the change may seem, then you should do it. We truly don’t know how much time we have on this planet, and with that morbid yet empowering fact in mind, you should do everything you can to get to where you are truly happy.

Making The Change May Take Great Effort Now, But You’ll Thank Yourself Later On

A lot of people are afraid of changing their lives because they have grown so comfortable with their surroundings, even if they aren’t the best surroundings possible. It’s definitely scary to think about leaving a job that you’ve been at for years, or ending a toxic relationship with someone because it’s all you’ve ever known. While these circumstances may seem like they would take a lot of emotional effort to remove yourself from, the sheer happiness you will feel when you are in the right environment will overpower the uncertainty you may be feeling at the moment.

You Can Actually Achieve the Goals You Began to Think Were Impossible

We all have a dream in the back of our mind that keeps us going. If you could do anything, or be anyone, then what would it be? If you’re currently in an unfulfilling environment, you may feel like those dreams of success have been crushed, and that you’ll never be what you’ve always desired to be. Those opinions aren’t really you, rather, they are a product of your circumstances. When I was in an unfulfilling environment, I began to have a bleak outlook on my future. I always wanted to write, yet I began to believe that I wasn’t good enough, talented enough, or unique enough to follow my dreams. Now, I’ve decided to create this blog, and it has began to restore the passion that has been absent in me for so long. I’m beginning to see that the future really is bright, and that my dreams may not be as big of a stretch as I once thought of them to be.

You may not believe me, even after reading all this. I mean, I’m no expert, I’m just a regular person, so what would I know? But if there is one thing that I’ve learned throughout my own personal journey to taking a leap of faith, it’s that we all have more control over our lives than we believe that we have. Changing your life is only a big deal if you let it be. You deserve to have the light inside of you be known by the rest of the world.

After all, would you rather look back and fantasize about what could have been, or have that fantasy be your reality?
